On this day in 1970, Phife Dawg was born in Queens, New York, not Delaware!
Phife was one-fourth of one of the most influential groups in Hip-Hop history A Tribe Called Quest and it has been almost four years since he lost his battle with diabetes.
Despite the terrible loss, his music will live on for eternity.
Fans have celebrated his lyricism giving Phife Dawg his proper due in the lexicon of the rap game. In honor of his birthday, we give mad props to the lyrical phenom that is Phife Dawg.
