Katt Williams stated that he aimed to damage the careers of several comedians during his visit to Club Shay Shay in early 2024. While talking with Shannon Sharpe, he criticized other comics, including Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, and Tiffany Haddish. Williams reflected on the podcast while attending New York Magazine's Vulture Festival recently. He explained that he believed he understood the social media algorithm and wanted to take advantage of it. He mentioned, “I wanted to ruin the careers of those I discussed.” However, he added that his approach was so harsh that he ended up softening his statements, leaving just minor criticisms to signal that he knows their true stories. At the Vulture Festival, he also joked about the claims against Diddy, which Diddy has denied. Williams remarked on his outsider status, saying, “I can’t be part of the establishment, even at a Diddy party. I'm there to observe and understand what people gain from being there, so they don’t always welcome me.” He further expressed frustration over how Saturday Night Live portrayed him, suggesting that their impression indicated they view him negatively. He commented, "When people impersonate you, it shows how they feel about you. Having a woman impersonate me on 'Saturday Night Live' means they think poorly of me."
