The esteemed luxury fashion house announced its historic new partnership with the "Not Like Us" rapper on Monday, April 21. Lamar is set to serve as the face of Chanel's eyewear line. As part of the rollout for their new campaign, Chanel and the Grammy award-winning artist gave a preview of what to expect from the Spring-Summer 2025 collection.

“Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind," Kendrick Lamar told The Business Of Fashion. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses."

“We strongly believe in eyewear and its potential," Chanel fashion president Bruno Pavlovsky said. "More than a simple fashion accessory, eyewear is part of the Chanel allure and is regularly seen on the runway. Its versatile style, playing with the house codes, brings a finishing touch to the silhouette. Through the ‘Chanel & moi’ program, we developed various services for this category, in order to offer a perfect fit and the best experience to our clients.”

Lamar will rep the brand alongside other famous ambassadors including Timothée Chalamet, K-Pop star G-Dragon, Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley and Nana Komatsu. Chanel just dropped the official preview of its upcoming eyewear line directed by Karim Sadli. Check it out below.

Kendrick Lamar's collaboration with Chanel isn't the only historic brand deal he's involved in. Gatorade also enlisted the Compton native for its newest campaign, “Lose More. Win More.” Lamar became the first musician to team up with the sports drink since its inception 60 years ago.
