Rapper T-Rex is recovering after he appeared to suffer from a seizure in the middle of a rap battle.
The revered battle rapper faced off with Geechi Gotti during Ultimate Rap League's NOME XV event in New York City on Sunday night, June 22. T-Rex was in the middle of his first round against Gotti when he collapsed to the ground and began to convulse. T-Rex was rushed from the stage at Gramercy Theatre to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for his medical condition. Soon after the shocking incident, T-Rex confirmed he's doing better.
"Thank god for JuJu I appreciate you so much 💙" he wrote. "Also my cuzin D-Boy love you n***a 💙❤️"
Prayers for T-Rex came pouring in soon after he collapsed, including his own opponent. In a video posted to social media, Geechi Gotti said he was on his way to the hospital to check on T-Rex along with his family.
"I'm about to head to the hospital to check on my boy," he said. "I came in here with his folks and family. So we gon' go up there and check on Rex right now... Prayers to bro because that s**t is way more important than any battle."
T-Rex has been a consistent battle rapper since the late 1990s. He's faced off with various MCs, including his cousin Murda Mook, Loaded Lux, Math Hoffa, Charlie Clips, and Hitman Holla.
