Drake has become the latest rap star to pay homage to the late Ozzy Osbourne.
The Canadian rapper was in Birmingham, U.K., during a recent stop of his "$ome $exy $ongs 4 UK" Tour with PARTYNEXTDOOR. In videos posted to social media, Drizzy walked out to the tune of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" and honored Osbourne before he began his set.
"Rest in peace to the legendary Ozzy Osbourne one time," Drake told the crowd. "We gotta pay our respects."
He didn't stop there. According to The New York Times, the 38-year-old artist stopped by the Black Sabbath Bridge and joined a crowd of mourning fans.
"I just came out to pay respects to someone who lived it to the fullest," Drake said after he poured out some tequila.
Ozzy Osbourne's family announced the iconic rock star passed away on Tuesday morning, July 22. Since then, tributes to the Prince of Darkness have poured in from all over the world. Among the array of dedications from rock's finest, Hip-Hop artists like T-Pain, Ice-T, Flavor Flav and Trick Daddy have also honored the heavy metal pioneer. The Miami rapper, who sampled Ozzy's "Crazy Train" for his 2004 hit "Let's Go," praised Osbourne for clearing the sample.
"The iconic legend will be truly missed, especially by me -- a young, Black man out of the ghetto of Miami -- by giving the clearance to sample his 'Crazy Train' masterpiece!" Trick told TMZ.
