Silk Sonic Drops Album This Year!

Silk Sonic, is finally ready to drop their album!

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak announced on Twitter that the debut album ‘An Evening with Silk Sonic‘ drops on November 12th.

“We’re really in touch-up mode now.” Adding, “We’ve got the bones of most of the album, so it’s really about touching up parts that need a little more… grease.”

The two first formed Silk Sonic in February, and released “Leave the Door Open” in March. It initially debuted at Number Four on the Billboard Hot 100 before jumping to Number One.

Silk Sonic brought out their latest offering called "Skate," the follow-up to "Leave The Door Open."

"Skate" and "Leave The Door Open" are expected to appear on the band's upcoming album, An Evening With Silk Sonic. The album doesn't have a release date, but might feature H.E.R. and Victoria Monét.

The pair has performed at the 2021 Grammys, our 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards and the 2021 BET Awards.

"It was like, 'Well, want to come back tomorrow?'" Mars said of the studio sessions. "And we kept coming up with music. It felt like why you fall in love with music in the first place. And jamming with your buddy… There’s no plan, just working out the parts and trying to excite each other... that's why this wouldn't happen if it didn't make sense and it didn't feel natural and organic. This was a series of events that led us to 'Man, why don't we just do it?'"

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak topped the charts!

Silk Sonic bounced into the top, beating out Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” which featured DaBaby and J. Cole's top 10 debut with “Interlude.”

“Leave the Door Open” was the first ever No. 1 single for .Paak.

“@brunomars WE DID IT BRO!!! It is now safe to wear your bell bottoms all week!! #LeaveTheDoorOpen is the number 1 song in the country and I can’t thank y’all enough! @brunomars we poppin bottles in the Stu today I’m otw champ! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!” Anderson .Paak wrote.

Anderson spoke highly about Bruno Mars.

“When you get in and you can jam with someone and other artists that could hold it down and you’re bouncing, that’s different,” he said. “That’s the difference and you’re really creating a groove from scratch. You guys are trying to figure out what’s going to work. What’s the math behind this that’s going to get everybody feeling good? What is it? Is it too heavy? Is it not heavy enough? And especially with this song, it’s a song that requires so much patience and [delicatessens]. A lot of meat went into this song.”
