ASAP Rocky was at a courthouse in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday for jury selection in his assault trial. Reporter Meghann Cuniff noted that Rocky turned down a plea deal from prosecutors. The deal would have required him to plead guilty to one assault charge in return for a 180-day county jail sentence, three years of probation, and a suspended prison sentence of seven years. Rocky faces two felony charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. If found guilty, he could receive a sentence of up to 24 years in prison. He has pleaded not guilty and continues to assert his innocence throughout the trial.
